SPLIT VIEW

“WHICH KIND OF MAC WOULD

YOU BUY TODAY?”
The team says...

That’s easy – the refreshed Mac mini. I love its
tiny size, and the long-overdue upgrades have
made it a powerful little machine.

I don’t own a car. If I needed to take an iMac to
an Apple Store, it’d be a pain to carry. The mini
means I can pick and choose my peripherals
and I can easily carry it elsewhere.

I get that, but it’s not for me. In fact, none of the
current Macs have quite what I’m looking for.

So the iMac Pro isn’t for you?

I’d go for a 21.5in iMac with Retina 4K display.
I use a second display so don’t need the 27in’s
size, but do want the processing power boost.

No, I like the idea of a more modular system
so I can swap out and upgrade components.

For me, that’s a bit too much hassle. I’m happy
to customise at purchase to get the best I can
afford in an all-in-one package.

It has to be the MacBook Pro. I often work
from home so need portability and it’s easy
to take to an Apple Store if there’s an issue.

For me, power overrides portability, which is
why I’m holding out for the Mac Pro.
