‘THE
BEATLES
STATION’
This is none other than Bob Eubanks,
best known as the longtime host of TV’s
Newlywed Game, in his DJ days at KRLA/
Los Angeles, where he worked from 1960-
- Eubanks was also a concert producer
who famously mortgaged his house to
bring the Beatles to L.A. — soon after
that, then-Top 40 KRLA was winning in
the ratings as “The Beatles Station.”
Eubanks is still a beloved media figure
in Los Angeles, having hosted the annual
Tournament of Roses parade on KTLA-TV
from 1976-2016.
