H

ere’s a photo of Rose, my lovely great-
granddaughter, with the picture of the
‘Majestic Unicorn’ l stitched for her from a
recent issue of The World of Cross Stitching.
Thanks for a great magazine!
Gill Wood, via email
Hannah: Rose is a very lucky girl to have
such a clever great-grandma, Gill! You must
have spent hours stitching this intricate
design, and what a wonderful result!
Our enchanted unicorn was in issue
278 earlier this year and was designed
by Shannon Wasilieff, who brought it to
life with metallic threads and gold beads.
You can really see them stand out on the
unicorn’s horn here. I like the dove grey
frame with the distressed details – a great
choice to complement all the sparkle in the
design. I’m sure Rose will treasure it always.

I

love stitching my Christmas cards each
year, and everyone says they love
receiving them, too. I’ve almost finished this
year’s designs and thought I would share
them with you. We always have Christmas
jumper day at work, so I’ve stitched all of
my colleagues one for their cards.
Ells Walker, via email

Sue: Your colleagues are so lucky, Ells! The
Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day
has become an annual charity event in the
workplace – this year, it’s on 13 December,
and we’ll all be wearing ours! If you like
humorous winter designs, you’ll love our
Design Library (p47) – it’s packed with all
sorts of fun Christmas puns!

looks delighted
with her magical
unicorn picture!

I

really enjoyed stitching
the fantastic polar bear
card that came with the
issue 275. I loved every stitch
and completed him in just
four hours on Remembrance
Sunday. Thank you for the
fantastic design.
Sarah Sanford, Willenhall
Hannah: Now that’s what
I call speedy stitching, Sarah!

Our little bear coverkit
was a hit with Sarah!
