e’ve enjoyed the LEGO
Star Wars series for
almost 20 years and
the latest instalment
looks set to be the
definitive blocky experience. This
galactic-sized collection will span all
three trilogies, including the upcoming
Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker.
Traveller’s Tales is developing this
game from the ground up with a new
engine and overhauled graphics. The
Skywalker Saga will also be fully
voice-acted, with new dialogue being
recorded specifically for the game.You’ll have the opportunity to play the
whole saga in whatever order you
choose, switching from episode to
episode as you like. Heading to
different planets will involve hopping
into spaceships, such as the
Millennium Falcon, and flying there,
too. You’ll also encounter random
space battles along the way.
Combat has changed drastically,
too, with improved lightsaber combat
and force powers. The devs have
adopted a new over-the-shoulder
camera which enables you to see
much more of the world and in more
detail than ever before,
giving you a whole new
appreciation of the LEGO
Star Wars universe. You
can also aim your
weapons using this
camera to accurately blast
distant enemies. QW
