An admirable attempt at utilising the
power of the Kinect for Xbox 360, with four
different game modes. Unfortunately, the
result was something almost as awkward
and cringeworthy as the 1978 Star Wars
Holiday Special thanks to the infamous
Dance Central-like dance mode, called
Galactic Dance-off, that notably featured
Han Solo pulling shapes while surrounded by
Stormtrooper backing dancers. Yikes. Q

Support for this toys-to-life action adventure
sandbox series has sadly discontinued. Each
version of the game focused on a Disney
franchise with 3.0 being Star Wars. The story
was broken up into parts, depending on
the different physical playsets you owned,
each providing a handful of figures and story
content DLC based around the various Star
Wars trilogies. Its unique art style and fun
combat mechanics made it a blast to play. Q

To coincide with the release of Kinect Star
Wars, a limited edition Star Wars-themed
Xbox 360 console was released and designed
to look just like R2-D2, emulating his
white and blue design. The gold controller
represents C-3PO. The console even bleeps
and whistles just like R2-D2 when you open
the disc try and turn it on. Inside the disc
tray you’ll find the message, “Help me Obi-
Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.” Nice. Q

The phenomenal success of the Angry Birds
franchise meant that it wasn’t too much
of a surprise that Rovio made an officially
licensed Star Wars version. Using elements
from the previously released Angry Birds and
Angry Birds Space, each level is based either
on land or in space and features different
physics. In place of the normal ‘Angry Birds’
are birds that are dressed up to look like
characters from the original trilogy. Q

Star Wars characters frequently pop up in
other games, too. The third and fourth Tony
Hawk’s Pro Skater games feature Darth
Maul and Jango Fett as playable characters
respectively, while Soulcalibur IV let you play
as Darth Vader or Yoda. You could even fly
around in an X-wing or TIE-fighter in flight
sim game, Secret Weapons Of Normandy.
There also a cheeky nod to LEGO Star Wars in
LEGO Indiana Jones. Q

If flinging Star Wars-themed birds into
structures works well, then a pinball game
based on the franchise seems like a no-
brainer, right? Experience the Star Wars
universe like never before by hitting Darth
Vader in the head with metal balls. Pinball
FX2 was the first to feature Star Wars
themed tables, and since then we’ve seen
a dedicated Star Wars Pinball game on the
Xbox 360. Q
