Expansions previously released
on PC, Rise And Fall and Gathering
Storm, will be available in the separate
‘Expansion Bundle’. Rise And Fall
introduces a new Golden Age and
Dark Age for players to go through,
while Gathering Storm adds – among
other features – natural disasters like
hurricanes, tornadoes, river floods
and even volcanic eruptions that you’ll
need to contend with.
It’s been a long time since we’ve
played a Civilization game, but we’re
more than ready to claim world
dominance once again. QFans of turn-based strategy games
can dust off their domination hats
as Firaxis Games has revealed that
Civilization VI will be coming to Xbox
One on 22 November. The arrival
of the sixth Civilisation game will
mark the series’ first appearance
on Xbox in over ten years, with
the last outing being the spin-off,
Civilization Revolution in 2008.
Given the long absence on Xbox,
this may be the first time that many
gamers have played a Civilization title.
In this incredibly in-depth turn-based
strategy game you take control of
and develop... well, a civilisation. You
take your nation through various eras
and claim victory over others through
different conditions, such as cultural
influence, military domination or
technological superiority, and become
ruler of the world. This is achieved
through strategic decisions involving
how you manage resources as well as
your relationships with other nations.New horizons
Xbox owners will get four extra
content packs, which are (take a
deep breath) Poland Civilization &
Scenario Pack, Vikings Scenario Pack,
Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack
