As huge, huge Narcos fans, we’re beyond

excited for a game of the Netflix series. You

can play as either side in the war between

Pablo Escobar and the DEA, experiencing

events and meeting characters from the

first series. Though it’s mostly turn-based

strategy, players will also be able to take

“direct third-person command over their

units in critical moments”. Oh. Yeah.

For those who can’t remember, and that

almost certainly includes its famously

amnesiac central character, XIII was a

beloved cel-shaded FPS on the OG Xbox.

A remake by Playmagic was due out this

November, but it looks like we’ll now have

to wait till 2020 - which speaks to French

publisher Microïds’s ambition to “reach the

level of polish we’re aiming for”. Smart.

DEVELOPER STORMIND GAMES DUE 2020

Remothered: Tormented Fathers was one

of the surprise third-person horror treats

of 2018, so we were excited to learn that

Italian studio Stormind Games is working

on a sequel. Eyebrows were initially

raised, though, at the news it was to be

called ‘Remothered: Going Porcelain’...

Fortunately, it’s now been renamed Broken

Porcelain. Phew! It’s due next summer.

BLACKSAD: UNDER THE SKIN

STUDIOS, YS INTERACTIVE DUE 5 NOVEMBER

The more we see of this zoomorphic

detective game, the more we’re liking it.

You play as PI cool cat, John Blacksad,

in his private investigations into a highly

suspect suicide. Blacksad is so tough

he can punch out a Rhino. With bags of

character and tons of noir atmosphere, it’s

somewhere between a Disney cartoon with

talking animals and a James Ellroy novel.

CYBERPUNK 2077

DEVELOPER CD PROJEKT RED DUE APRIL 2020

There’s been some more news on CD Projekt

Red’s highly anticipated cyberpunk RPG.

Apparently, the game will have multiplayer -

but only once the studio’s done with all the

single-player content. According to CDPR’s

Twitter account: “As we’re getting closer

to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk

2077 in April 2020, we’d like to confirm that

multiplayer’s in the works!” Very tasty.

JUMANJI: THE VIDEO GAME

DEVELOPER FUNSOLVE DUE 8 NOVEMBER

With remake-quel Jumanji: The Next Level

due out in cinemas soon, here’s a timely

tie-in to the world of the evil board game-

cum-videogame. It’s a co-operative action

adventure game (online or split-screen

couch) for up to four, each playing one

of The Rock, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and

Kevin Hart. Expect deadly traps, dangerous

locations and lots of familiar movie stuff.
