It’s a big month for reviews, with a crazy number of
vital games out for Xbox One. The biggest of them
all is an Xbox-exclusive shooter that we’ve been
excited about forever. Gears 5 (p68) continues a
great series that started on Xbox 360, one that was
groundbreaking in its cover-based third-person
combat. This time the story belongs to the series’
first female protagonist Kait Diaz. Do we love it?
Will you love it? Find out over the page! Then it’s
time to compare balls once again, as the two big
soccer titles compete for supremacy. FIFA 20 (p74)
and PES 20 (p84) have a long-established rivalry,
and each has its own loyal fanbase. Which one is
superior this year? Read on! Another great shooter
series also has a new, long-awaited entry out this
month. Gearbox’s Borderlands 3 boasts literally
billions of guns, but has it brought its A-game?
Page 72! We love getting scared half to death, so we
couldn’t wait to play Blair Witch with all the lights off.
Did we cry? Will we ever sleep again? See page 76!
The intriguing The Creature In The Well which is a
mix of pinball and dungeon-crawler is reviewed on
page 79, and we also check out Code Vein (p80),
The Surge 2 (p91), Final Fantasy VIII (p81),
Blasphemous (p82), Greedfall (p88), Vambrace:
Cold Soul (p87) and WRC 8 (p90). Enjoy!
