Gucci

(Amelia) #1

The Diamante pattern finds its roots in the Diamante Canvas which lies at

the heart of the Gucci archives. This exclusive design is tied to Gucci’s

storied legacy as this distinctive crisscross pattern which features small

interconnecting dark brown diamonds on a tan background was the debut

signature print of the Florentine House in the 1930s. Today the Diamante

motif is used to great effect on watch dials as a subtle signifier of the

Gucci House. It is found in various shades becoming fashionably geometric

when worked in black or brown or delicate and feminine when offered in

shell pink. In stainless steel and black the new G-Timeless Automatic

watch is a handsome piece: here the Diamante pattern makes a subtle

statement on the dial and is echoed on the smart black diamond-embossed

leather strap.
