In Parr’sbook,whatwehaveis the
samecharmingandirreverentlookat the
subjectsthatwe’vecometoexpectfrom
him.However,becausetheyarestripped
back without the harshness of colour, the


imageshavea different,morekindlyand
lessabrasivefeel.
Forcompletistsandcollectors,this
is goingtobeanessentialpurchase–
butforthosewhohavethusfarbeen
unimpressedbyParr’soutput,it’sworth
givingthiscollectiona trytoseeif your
mindcanbechanged.Personally,I
lovethem.
I dohaveonesmallcomplaint:I’dlike
toseesomecaptionsorcontext.The
picturesin andof themselveswork
exceedinglywell,butbeingthenosy
parkerthatI am, I’d always like to
know more.
