a London restaurant.
She composed to
exclude any bright
highlights, which
would have distracted.

anet Miles enjoys using Lightroom and
Photoshop to explore the creative side of
photography, and has given a number of talks on
her approach. Photography brings a variety of
benefi ts to her. ‘I have a stressful job and am
currently being treated for breast cancer, so
I lovethatphotography is all-absorbing,’ she says. ‘I see it
as my version of “mindfulness”. If I am trying to capture a
beautiful bug or a fl ower, my attention is totally in the here
and now rather than worrying about other things.’ You can
