Make a... baby bib

Step 1

Step 3

Step 2

Step 4

MAKE a tracing of the bib outline

onto white paper to make a

template. Cut out the template

and then place on the wrong side

of the bib front. Draw around the

template lightly with pencil. Cross

stitch the design centrally onto

the bottom of the bib. Cut out the

bib following the pencil lines,

adding a small seam allowance.

PLACE the bib front and back

right-sides together, and stitch

around the edge following the

pencil lines, leaving a small gap on

one side for turning. Turn to the

right side, press, and then sew up

the gap with small, neat stitches.

CUT through the neck strap and

then remove the circular neck

area, adding a small seam

allowance outside of the pencil

line. Cut your backing fabric in

SEW velcro to the ends of the

neck strap and then attach a

button over to finish.

the same way. For the backing

you can use bright cotton fabric

as we have done, or the same

fabric as the bib front.
