Stitch on perforated paper to make a 3D decoration.

Step 1 Step 2

Step 3 Step 4

MAKE A... CHRISTMAS TREE

ATTACH your beads by bringing the needle to

the front in the bottom left of a stitch. Push the

needle through the bead, and take it down at top

right. Repeat, and then secure the thread on the

reverse side before attaching the next bead.

CUT around the stitching carefully, leaving one

blank square of perforated paper outside of the

design. Use small, sharp scissors, and try to be

as accurate as you can, because the three sides

of the tree need to fi t together.

BEND each tree carefully at the centre, as shown

above, bringing the points around to almost

touching without making a fold at the centre.

Stick the first two trees together using fabric glue

or some double-sided tape.

FOLDa length of baker’s twine in half and knot,

and then place the hanger at the top of the tree,

with the knot facing downwards and below the

star. Attach the final tree with glue or double-

sided tape, enclosing the hanger at the top.
