Step 1 Step 2

Step 3 Step 4

MAKE A... MUG WRAP

COPY, enlarge and print off the template onto

white paper. Place on your stitching. Hold up to

the light, and then pin the template to your

stitching with the design in the centre. Cut out,

adding a 1cm (⅜in) seam allowance. Repeat for

the backing fabric.

PIN the stitching and backing fabric together

and then insert an elastic hair bobble into the

seam at one short end of the mug wrap – do not

cut the bobble as it will lose strength, just

position it halfway through the seam, as shown

in the photograph.

STITCHaround the edge of the wrap, with a 1cm

(⅜in) seam allowance, leaving a gap at one short

end, opposite the bobble. Clip the curves and

corners and reduce the seam allowance, then

turn through to the right side. Sew up the gap.

PLACE the wrap around your mug, and then

using a pin, mark the position of the button to

correspond with the bobble closer. Sew the

button in position on the edge of the wrap.

Your wrap is now ready to use!
