Get creative with sparkling thread, sequins and beads.
Step 1 Step 2
Step 3 Step 4
MAKE A... GIFT TAG & BOX
STITCH using three strands as the perforated
box and tags are 7 count. Add sequins to your
stitching for extra colour, using sewing thread,
taking your needle through the centre of the
sequins and back through holes in the box.
COVER the back of your stitching with white
paper, to hide any untidiness your recipient may
see, including any loose thread from adding
embellishments. Cut the paper to size, and use
double-sided tape to stick over the stitches.
WILLOW FABRICS
Visit this popular online
haberdashery for all the stitching
fabric, thread and accessories you’ll
ever need, including the materials
for these projects.
BEND all the flaps and side pieces on the folds.
Add a strip of double-sided tape to the box side.
Overlap with the flap, and press together onto the
tape to secure. You could use a scrap of
Christmas fabric in place of the white paper.
FOLD the flap ends into the box to close. If you
do not have a pre-punched box, use a scrap of
aida fabric to stitch the design, and then fray the
edges before attaching as a patch to a small gift
box with double-sided tape.
