Patches are lettered in order of use.
Measurements include ¼ ̋ seam allow-
ances. Border strips will be pieced and
cut to exact length needed. You may
want to make them longer to allow for
piecing variations.

Assembling the Quilt Top
NOTE: Refer to Assembly Diagram for
following steps, watching block place-
ment.
2 Sew 7 sash rows of 5 white G’s and
6 black D’s as shown. Sew 6 rows of
5 blocks and 6 G’s each. Join rows
together, alternating.
3 Refer to Borders in Quilt Basics. Join
border 1 strips and cut to sizes shown
in Assembly Diagram. Matching
centers and ends, sew border 1 side
strips to quilt; repeat to add top and
bottom strips.
Quilting and Finishing
4 Layer, baste, and quilt. Anne machine
quilted free-motion leaves and swirls
across the quilt surface. Bind the quilt.
