writing style is much like his teaching: straightforward, conver-
sational, and quite understandable (despite the accent!). This
book provides an in-depth look at some of the most important
features of Photoshop. You’ll find that the author has not only
provided work files for the chapters, he’s already done most of
the heavy lifting for you. Rather than opening a file and labori-
ously creating a layer mask prior to getting to the meat of an
exercise, you’ll find the mask set to go. And I strongly urge you
to “play along” as you read the book. Rather than just reading
and looking at the figures in the book, actually download the
files and work along with the text. You’ll come away with a
