When Paris 2024 unveiled its emblem for
the Olympic and Paralympic Games, it
was promptly ridiculed on social media
and compared to the Tinder logo. You
can discover the thinking and inspiration
behind the design on the event’s website,
play around with the font and learn why
it works well with digital dark modes.
Currently, the emblem takes precedence
over the event itself but, as it’s still about
five years away, that’s perhaps
understandable. There’s general talk of
celebration, legacy and participation but
we expect photos of venues and details
of sports to come soon.

Having lived in substandard student digs

highlight the problems caused by poor

properties. By asking students to review

their letting agent, landlord or student

halls provider, the aim is to give future

tenants a good idea of what they’re

getting into before signing their

agreements. Despite a bias towards

Lincoln and no way to manually search

for properties or instantly see where they

are located, CribAdvisor has great

potential but needs work. We like the

helpful section on tenant rights, though.
