The signs are certainly good. Disney+ allows
you to have as many as four active streams
going simultaneously, and you can download
an unlimited number of files to as many as 10
devices at a time. So, if the family’s embarking
on a road trip, you can all have plenty of your
own content to watch, thereby greatly reducing
any scope for quarrelling.


As for the streaming quality, well, it’ll be pretty
much as good as your Internet and equipment
allow, the service streaming in 4K with Dolby
Atmos and Vision or HDR10. Obviously, this will
depend on your broadband being sufficiently
quick, as well as your device supporting 4K,
Atmos, and Vision.


In the event that your device doesn’t have Vision,
Disney+ will offer you an HDR10 stream instead,
and if Atmos, HDR or even 4K are all beyond
the sophistication of your set-up, you’ll simply
be automatically presented with whatever the
optimal streaming variant is for your device.


While we’re on the subject of 4K, as long as
your device actually supports 4K, you will be
able to peruse an assortment of 4K content
via the app’s main menu. In fact, whenever
you browse the broader range of movies and
shows available through the service, you will
be told of the highest quality available for each
selection you make.


A particularly head-turning announcement
from Disney as the streaming service’s launch
neared was that Disney+ would be the only
place for fans to see the entire Star Wars saga
