Puppy Luv

I made Puppy Luv
from Quiltmaker’s
January/February ‘19, for my young granddaughter. This cute
puppy pattern and bright fabrics were the perfect fi t and so
much fun to make!

The Little Quilt That Could

This is the second time I have made the pattern, The Little Quilt
That Could, from Quiltmaker Spring/Summer ‘89. I decided to
scale the original size down to be 44”x 32”, to allow for more
time to add Christmas themed embellishments. I added a
Santa ringing a bell, a tree full of beaded ornaments, and an
elf in the caboose! I also hand quilted this quilt, which is my
preferred method, as it is so relaxing.

Garden of
the Gods
I made Garden
of the Gods from
Quiltmaker March/
April ‘19 for my
12-year-old granddaughter. She’s decorating her new room
in rose and gray, so I chose Jinny Beyer Palette fabrics,
coordinating batiks, and pink and white organza. The couching
was a new technique for me, so it’s not perfect but I learned a
lot and hope to use it again. When I was fi nished, I made two
14” throw pillows to coordinate!

Snowfl ake Star
I loved the pattern Snowfl ake Star from Quiltmaker November/
December ‘18 and wanted to make it with holiday prints. I also
used the bonus triangles, left over from the triangle-squares to
make small units to place in the outer borders. I love how it all
came together!
