"I love to piece quilts, modern and traditional, by hand and machine.
I love to teach students about the art of colour and piecing. I love
that this magazine has the same philosophy: the articles and
projects that feature in the publication aim to give the reader
knowledge of techniques, notions, people and places. My Road Test
column tries out new products for our readers, the QC/Travelrite
tours take our readers to far-away places for textile adventures.
Although I’ve always been a machine piecer, it is because of these
tours that I now also make quilts by hand. I can’t fit the sewing
machine in my luggage and need to sew every day (otherwise I
get very cantankerous)! I am lucky to share my knowledge and
experiences through the pages of Quilters Companion."Pieceville
