The Pour l’Amour du Fil show in Nantes was the major event
of this tour. The other things we saw were Angers Castle and
the amazing Angers Apocalypse Tapestries and the Tapisserie
de Bayeux — an 11th-century embroidery depicting the 1066
Norman invasion of England.
We also had a tour of Bruges, known as the ‘Venice of
the North’, with its world-famous Market Square, Royal
Residence, Royal Square, Houses of Parliament and the
remarkable City Hall.
We visited many quilting shops along the way, including
the world-famous Den Haan en Wagenmakers, and the
Museum of Bags and Purses in Amsterdam.

Here we are, just
about to take a trip
up the Eiffel Tower.
