The appliquéd medallion centre and the striped fabrics create a very
charming quilt. Deborah’s favourite patchwork technique is needleturn
appliqué, and her favourite design source is traditional Baltimore quilts.
So she combined the two and created a central medallion featuring an
impressive vase. Vases are a timeless medallion-style centre and she has
added another of her favourites — birds. The use of the striped fabric adds a
lot of design to the quilt, with very little time-consuming piecing.Finished size: 238cm x 225cm
