HOW TO Do more with Reminders

1

Adding a pic
From the main Reminders screen, tap
the list you want to add the new reminder
to, then tap Add Reminder. You’ll see the
Quick Toolbar above the keyboard, tap
the Camera icon then tap Photo Library
and tap the photo you want to add.

2

Set a geofence
Tap an existing reminder or add a
new one. From the Quick Toolbar, tap the
Location icon. Choose one of the options
or tap Custom to create a new one. Type
a location name, address or postcode.
Tap it when it appears, then tap Done.

3

Add to a smart list
On the left pane, tap the Smart List –
Today, Scheduled, All, or Flagged – to
which you want to add the reminder. Tap
next to the ‘+’ at the relevant point – for
example, under a day in the Scheduled
list. Tap Done.

4

Create a group
At the top of the left-hand pane, tap
Edit. Tap Add Group, then type in a name
for the group. Tap Include and then tap
on the ‘+’ next to the lists you want to
include in the group. Tap Group Info, then
Done to return to the main screen.

5

Message reminders
Tap the reminder you want to be
prodded about and tap the ‘i’ to the right.
Look near the bottom of the pop-up and
you’ll see ‘Remind me when messaging’.
Toggle the switch next to it to On and tap
Choose Person, then tap a contact.

6

Create a subtask
Tap the reminder you want to add
the subtask to and tap the ‘i’ next to its
title. Swipe up until you see the Subtasks
heading at the bottom of the pop-up,
then tap it. Tap Add Reminder then add
the subtask as you would a new reminder.

7

Change time
When you set a day for a reminder
but not a particular time, Reminders uses
the default. Change that by going into the
Settings app, then tap Reminders and tap
the time under Today Reminders. Set it
to your preference.

8

Add a URL
This is a useful addition if a
reminder is connected to a website. Tap
any reminder, then tap the ‘i’ next to it.
Tap the URL field near the top of the pop-
up and type in the URL you want to
associate with the reminder. Tap Done.

9

Change the appearance
Tap a list, then tap the More (three
dots) button at the top of the screen.
Tap Name & Appearance then choose
a colour and icon for the list. You can
also tap on the list name to edit it.
Tap Done when you’re finished.
