See your stories
When you open Notebook you’ll see a
list of your various notebooks; if this is
your first time, you’ll see just one – the
blank My Notebook you see here. You
can add another by tapping the plus icon- it’s good to have several on the go.

Make a new note
Tap the New icon at the bottom left
to create a note. You can now start
typing. As you can see, there’s a shortcut
bar immediately above the keyboard for
adding formatting, images and other
content to this note.3
Decide what to do
Tap the triple-dot More icon on a
note to see the options for things to do
with a note. For example, you can copy
the note to the Zoho Writer app, add
tags, save it as a favourite, set a reminder
or move it to another notebook.4
Record your thoughts
Notebooks can record audio notes
too. To record one, just tap on the
microphoneiconatthebottomandthen
startyourrecording.You’llseeanaudio
waveformtoreassureyouthatthe
microphoneisworking.5
Share your speech
Once again, the More icon enables
you to do things with your note, but you’ll
seealongthebottomofthepinknote
windowthereareotheroptions:ashare
buttonandanintriguing-looking
paragraphbutton.Let’stapthatone.6
See your speech
The paragraph icon turns on the
built-in transcription service, which does
asurprisinglygoodjoboftranscribing
yourspeech–although it’s not suitable
for long monologues because it only
does the first minute.7
Set a reminder
If, like us, you tend to write notes
and forget all about them, the More icon
enables you to attach a reminder to it, so
that Notebooks can tell you when it’s
time to take another look at what you’ve
written or recorded.8
Travel in time
If you look closely at the bottom
here, you’ll see the Versions feature in
operation. It automatically remembers
each version of your notes and enables
you to skip back in time to review older
versions, in case you’ve made a mistake.9
Paint a picture
Notebooks also includes some basic,
but useful, drawing and highlighting tools.
They work better with Apple Pencil,
naturally, but are still perfectly useful
with the kinds of styluses you find in
