Pick a template
Open Punchbowl (the app only works in
portrait) and tap Invites at the bottom left. Pick
a design: ours was from Seasonal > Christmas.
In the preview, swipe up to see the ‘envelope’
that the recipient will see first.2
Enter details
Tap Personalize. Only the title, date and
location of your event will go on the card, but
recipients will see any extra information
alongside it. UK users can substitute a county
for ‘State’ and postcode for ‘Zip’.3
Edit the text
Tap Continue to edit the card. Pinch to
zoom in and tap to select any text item. Tap
the ‘A’ icon and tap ‘+’ or ‘-’ to adjust the text
size. Tap the ‘F’ icon to choose a font. Tap the
keyboard to change the text.4

You can’t reposition text boxes or adjust
spacing, but there are workarounds. To move
content up, add returns to text boxes at the
bottom. To make space, tap the ‘+’ at bottom
right to add an empty box.5
Complete and send
Tap Finish Editing. You can then import
your Contacts and select recipients from the
list, or enter new names and emails. Tap to
continue. Set Invitation Options, including
whether guests can add a +1. Tap Send.6
Manage your event
Tap Continue to Manage Invitation to
monitor your event. All your events can be
accessed from Dashboard at the bottom of the
screen; tap one for this view. You can see who’s
responded and message any who haven’t.Geniustip!
To view a card or
invitation you previously
created, tap Dashboard,
tap an item, tap the
artwork, then tap Open
Invitation. To make a
copy to keep or share
outside Punchbowl,
tap Edit Details, then
Continue. On the Edit
Design screen, tap the
artwork to select no
text, pinch-zoom as big
as possible, take a
screen grab and crop it.Geniustip!
When you send your
invitation, email
recipients will receive
the envelope graphic
and are asked to click.
This takes them to the
Punchbowl website,
where clicking the
envelope ‘opens’ it to
reveal the card and info.
You can preview this
from your Dashboard by
tapping the design at
the top, as seen in the
main picture on the
