You know you’ve made it when Jerry Seinfeld tags your Instagram
account. Will Lee was folding his laundr y on a Monday morning
when that happened to him.
The account that captured Seinfeld’s attention is “ptsrs,” so
named for Porsche’s paint-to-sample option (which allows buyers
to spec nearly any color they can dream up) and the brand’s often

program in college, fell in love with the cars and colors, and cre-
ated the account in Februar y 2016 as a distraction from his senior-
year thesis. He’s since amassed 106,000 followers and posted over
1000 photos of colorful and sometimes one-of-a-kind Porsches.

Lee’s Instagram—gaining more followers by the day—might have
something to do with that growth.
Today, Lee travels around the world photographing cars. In
one post, he’s at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, cap-
turing the millionth 911, a car in paint-to-sample Irish Green. In
another, he’s in Manhattan with a Carbon Steel Grey Metallic 911

The 25-year-old dreams of creating a photo-rich book one day
based on the subjects of his Instagram account. Becoming a
Porsche owner is a goal, too. His friend’s 911 GT3 Touring in paint-
to-sample Brewster Green with satin aluminum wheels is how
he’d spec his own. “My friend said he would put it in his will for
me,” Lee says. “It’s on record now.” —Matthew Jancer
