An alternative foundation ring for working in the round


1 Tostarta MagicLoop,don’t

a loopwiththeyarn,leavinga
tailaround10cmlong.Make
surethetailendis under the
working yarn.


2 Nowinsertyourhookintothe
loop,fromfronttoback.Wrap
theworkingyarnaroundthe
hookandpull the yarn through
the loop.

3 Makea t-chforthestsyou
wanttowork(above,wemade
1 t-chfordc).Workyoursts
intotheMagicLoop,over
boththeloopandthetail end
(so two yarn strands).

4 Onceyou’veworkedthefirst
roundofstitches,simplypull
thetailendofyarntodrawup
thering.Worka slipstitchto
