163ART SHOW PREVIEWand Requard’s Fresh Off the Tree is an impressionistic
piece of a fruit tree. Another artist capturing the prickly
pear is Meister, whose Prickly Heat shows a wider view
of the desert plant. Coleman’s El Camino is an even
vaster desert landscape, highlighting the West’s signa-
ture canyons and cliffs. The focus of MacLeod’s open
landscape Summer’s Drama is the billowing clouds above
the trees. From Drennan is the seascape On the Rocks,
Shell Beach, with waves crashing against a rocky alcove.
A tonalist landscape from Delanty, titled Sunset, Open
Space, shows one of the most calming hours of the day,
as the sun beings to wane as evening begins.
The Western Regional Juried Exhibition remains on
view at the gallery through November 30.
