This stitch is a common decrease in double

stitch as far as Step 3. Then insert your

hook into the next stitch, yrh and pull up a

loop. You will have three loops on the hook.

make more

than one

double crochet

in the same

stitch as shown

in this example.

Yarn round the hook again.

Wrap the yarn round the hook (yrh).

Yarn round the hook again.

Pull through both loops on hook.

You’ve made your first double crochet.

Pull up a loop through the stitch. You will

now have two loops on the hook.

Pull through all three loops on the hook.
