Apple has actually already granted a theatrical
release, albeit a brief one, to a TV film: its wildlife
documentary The Elephant Queen, which is
now available for viewing on the Cupertino
company’s recently-released streaming
service Apple TV+. In its review of the feature,
narrated by 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel
Ejiofor, AppleInsider calls it “a gorgeous, eye-
opening nature documentary that begs to be
watched on the largest screen possible.”

Another two Apple TV+ movies lined up for
theatrical release include the Jada Pinkett
Smith-produced drama Hala, which will land on
November 22 before reaching the streaming
service in December, and period film The Banker,
where Samuel L. Jackson will light up big screens
on December 6 before arriving on smaller iPhone
and iPad screens the following January.
