Globular cluster M12 is a relatively
loose collection of stars that contains
many X-ray-emitting binary stars and
red supergiants. M12 lies 23,000 light-
years away in the constellation
Ophiuchus the Serpent-bearer.

The Grus Triplet is an interacting
group of galaxies about 70 million
light-years away in the constellation
Grus the Crane. NGC 7582 is the
largest of the three, and NGC 7590
is the smallest. The third member is
