Micro Four Thirds purist Olympus has announced the updateto its
popular 16MP O-MD E-M5 Mark II – the Mark III. Packing in a 20.4MP
sensor brings it in line with the flagship E-M1 Mark II, and E-M1X pro
sports cam. It opts for a polycarbonate body to create a lightweight
travelling companion, and features updated video specs, offering
Full HD 1080p at 120fps, 4K at 30fps, and even Cinema 4K at 24fps.
Despite being lightweight, Olympus has shoe-horned a lot of tech
into the Mark III, and even managed to weather-seal the body against
dust and moisture. You also get 5 stops of in-body image stabilisation
as standard, or up to 6.5 stops when using a compatible lens and
Sync IS. The innovative Olympus Live Filters are here, in the form
of Live Composite and Live Bulb, and of course the 3in 1037k-dot
touchscreen flips out to 180° for vloggers.
