With long exposure photography,
the limits of what can be achieved
in camera can be pushed further in
the editing process. Here, the blur
in those clouds could be enhanced
to make the image appear even
more minimalistic. To do this, open
the image in Photoshop and in the
Layers palette (Window>Layers) hit


Ctrl+J to create a duplicate layer.
Go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur
and select an Angle of 35° and
a Distance of 780 Pixels to give
the sense of the clouds scudding
upwards. Then click Add a mask
and with a soft black Brush Tool
paint over the foreground to
remove the blur from this area.
