n An HDR technique doesn’t work
well with all subjects. It can make
landscapes look unrealistically flat,
and moving subjects won’t be able
to be blended without a ghostly look.
n The entire scene doesn’t need to
be HDR processed. For instance,
if you want to draw attention
to the subject, just
combine an HDR
version of that with
a regular exposure
of the rest of the
scene.
n Shooting HDR isn’t reliant on
RAW, but it can help. You can
make multiple RAW conversions
to produce lighter and darker
exposures, then combine them
using HDR tonemapping.
n If you’re comfortable shooting in
manual you don’t need to
xposure bracketing,
t start with the
arkest exposure
then lengthen the
shutter speed by
a stop for each shot.
