The second email doesn't need to be nearly as long. You can just
reinforce some of the high points of the former one. The third email is
very short: “Hey, the webinar is going on tonight. Here's what you can be
learning. Here's the link.”


If you don't have a list, make sure to post your webinar link on Facebook,
LinkedIn, Twitter—wherever you have a social media presence.


I have also really come to love press releases, and you can use a few
different services for press releases. One notable one is webwire.com.
The other is PRweb.com. Both are paid services, but you get great
distribution. They are going to make sure that your article is sent out to
some really big media outlets with a lot of people reading that article, so
you should be able to build your webinar list.


Alternately, you can set up an affiliate program, and have other people
mail to your webinar. There are different ways to do this, and perhaps the
easiest way is to use 1shoppingcart.com. The second easiest is probably
ClickBank.com. The goal is to get other people to promote your webinar
for you, and this will be seen when we start talking about scaling—
taking a webinar that converts and then scaling up to be a multimillion
dollar business.


Webinars are a pretty short-term thing. You have about a week to
promote—perhaps three to four days. There are paid strategies, which I
see a lot of people doing now, such as Facebook ads, pay-per-click ads,
or Adwords, setting up advertising with the CPA network, or banner ads,
such as using sitescout.com and buysellads.com. We’ll talk more about
these later in this section. These platforms allow you to get traffic and
signups for your webinar.


The bad thing is, if you're like me, you bootstrap your success. So, you
do a webinar that works and converts, and then you figure out the
numbers. You make $2 per person who signs up, and as long as you
spend less than $2 to get somebody on a webinar, then you can make
money. That's how I gauge a lot of webinar growth, and how I will teach
you to do it later on.


Either way, if you have a list, mail that list three times to promote your
webinar. If you don't have a list, do the social media syndication. Either
way, with a list or with no list, do press releases. Press releases are pretty
hot right now. They rank really well in Google, and they're going to get
you some great exposure.
