Peripheral Vision
We plan to pair these budget parts with
our new PC
MONITOR: While we generally prefer
the size and screen quality of larger
LCD monitors, there’s no denying that
22-inch models offer great value. From
this class, we’ve chosen the HP w2207
(reviewed June 2007). It has an attrac-
tive cabinet, ergo adjustments, built-in
USB ports, HDCP support, and a glossy
screen that adds dazzle to any picture.

KEYBOARD: Our keyboard of choice these
days, at least for ergo afi cionados, is the
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard
- Its down-tilting design will protect
you from RSI but still deliver a great typ-
ing experience. If ergo isn’t your bag,
pick up whatever Keytronic board you
can fi nd for $15.

MOUSE: Our favorite rodent remains the
Logitech G5 rev. 2. This laser optical
mouse sports the same sensor and fea-
ture list as the original G5, but it adds a
second thumb button. With an adjustable
sensitivity sensor, a variable weight con-
fi guration, and an extremely comfortable
grip, this beauty is worth every penny.
