Start crocheting


This pattern uses a slightly smaller
hook than the yarn band recommends
to keep the fabric tight so that the cushion
doesn’t show through. Turning at the end
of each round helps prevent the squares
from twisting.


Make a total of 64 squares, using the
following colours:


Colourway 1: With A throughout
(make 20)
Colourway 2: With B throughout
(make 12)
Colourway 3: Rnd 1 in B, rnds 2-3 in A
(make 16)
Colourway 4: Rnds 1-2 in B, Rnd 3 in A
(make 16)

Square (make 64)
Rnd 1: Working into a magic ring,
3 ch (counts as first tr here and
throughout), 2 tr, 1 ch, [3 tr, 1 ch] 3
times, join with sl st in top of beg 3 ch.
Turn. 4 3tr-groups

This neat little cushion uses a lovely warm wintry


orange to bring a pop of colour to your home


Rnd 2: [3 ch, 2 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in first ch-sp,
{[3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in next ch-sp} 3 times, join
with sl st in top of beg 3 ch. Turn.
8 3tr-groups
Rnd 3: [3 ch, 2 tr] in sp between 3tr-groups,
{[3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in corner ch-sp, miss 3 sts,
3 tr in sp between 3tr-groups} 3 times, [3
tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in last corner ch-sp, join with
sl st in top of beg 3 ch. Fasten off.

Making up
Lay squares out as per assembly diagram.
With A and tapestry needle, sew squares
together. Fold corners into the centre like an
envelope, then sew cover closed, inserting
cushion before closing final seam.
