Founding and managing Partner Robert C. Gottlieb is a highly
sought-after criminal trial attorney renowned for his thorough
preparation, attention to detail and eff ective cross examination

the country over his more than four decades of practice. His
clients have been charged with the most serious crimes - murder,

launched the fi rm’s complex civil practice in 2014 and, now,

and medical devices, in state and federal court rooms across
the country.  Mr. Janey has appeared in matters in federal court
across the state of Florida; the Deep South (e.g., Alabama and
Mississippi); New Jersey; Massachusetts; as well as New York.  A
common theme across these matters is defending against serious
civil claims, such as fraud, civil RICO and civil conspiracy.  Mr. Janey
has also spent years, alongside his partner, representing individuals
and companies in high-profi le, high stakes white collar criminal
matters, including defending against allegations of Ponzi schemes,
securities fraud, conspiracy and wire fraud, many of which have
been parallel prosecutions brought by both the DOJ and the SEC. 
Across both the complex civil and white collar dimensions, Mr.
Janey has won numerous victories, including defeating RICO claims
brought by a large pharma manufacturer; obtaining dismissal of
SEC charges against a person charged with insider trading; and
obtaining dismissal of individuals from a case commenced by a
global drug manufacturer.
