in New Brighton with

some camera club

friends. The smooth

water helped the

rocks to stand out, as

it was quite a complex

arrangement. The late

afternoon sun caught

the wet rocks too and

added some depth.’

scene at Padley

Gorge, Peak District. I

wanted the colour and

stillness of the tree

with the softer water.

But my ND filter was

the wrong strength!

So, I blended in a

little faster exposure

to put some texture

back into the water.’
