“To add your bead,
thread a sewing
needle with a
short length of
cotton and knot to
make a loop. Pass
yarn through loop
and fold end over.
Slide bead onto
needle and push
down onto yarn.”

P2tog tbl
To avoid a twist when working
a p2tog tbl, LK designer
Charmaine uses a clever
trick. With the yarn in front,
slip the first stitch purlwise
then slip the second stitch
knitwise. Slip both sts back
onto left needle purlwise,
then with the yarn in front,
work p2tog tbl as normal.

ADVICE
“To avoid tightness
when increasing for the
leaves, wrap the yarn
around the needle twice
when working the centre
stitch on WS rows. On
the RS, knit the central
stitch by passing the
needle under the
two loops made by the
p2yrn. This provides more
yarn for the increases”
