“If you are keen to
finish this project
ina hurry, this
self-patterning
yarn will really
come in handy.”

Picking up
stitches
With RS facing, insert the tip of
the needle into the work from
front to back between the first
and second stitches of the first
row. Wrap the yarn around the
tip of the needle and draw it
through the knitting to form a
new stitch. Where the neckline
curves push the needle into the
centre of stitches that lie below
the shaping to ensure even
spacing of stitches. Repeat this
until you have picked up the
desired number of stitches.
