Using 3.75mm needles and yarn I,
cast on 50 sts

Stitch up Body and Head with
seam at centre back. Leave base
open for stuing. Stuf head
section irst, making it a nice round
shape. Continue stuing Body.
Thread a needle with yarn A, then
working on marked row, run a
thread in and out of stitches all
around row to form doll’s neck,
draw this up quite irmly and
secure. Head will appear wobbly at
this stage. Take yarn and needle
and catch Head to Body all around,great

centre of base to form a leg
opening on either side. Leave
aside. Stitch seams of both
Legs up centre back leaving
tops open for stuing. Stuf
and shape as you do. Fold toppart of Legs lat and sew up.
Insert Legs into legholes on
Body, one either side. Pin in
position, then sew irmly in
place. Stitch seams of Arms
leaving top open for stuing.
Stuf, but not too irmly. Sew top
of Arm. Sew Arms in place on
either side of doll with seams onunderside. Wind lengths of
yarn C around a book or similar
object to give lengths of around
40cm. Take sections of yarn, lay
lat across doll’s head ensuring
two side lengths are equal, and
using yarn C and a tapestry
needle back stitch hair in place
across centre of Head, addingPA
