he UNO cable

has three

interchangeable

heads: Lightning, USB-C

and Micro-USB.

You clip the detachable

head into your device and

the cable connects and

disconnects magnetically.

The strong magnets mean

you can connect the cable

one-handed, and just as

easily detach it.

It has a braided cable

with anti-fray neck that

iPhone. That 9.75W isn’t

as fast as Apple’s USB-C

to Lightning cable, which

offers 18W or more and is

USB-PD compatible, but

then that cable doesn’t have

interchangeable heads.

The cable comes with a

10-year warranty, but ensure

your device is compatible

first, as you’ll need an adapter

if your wall plug only has a

tip-removal tool (the heads

are pretty tricky to remove

otherwise). While it offers

three different heads, you

can’t use the UNO to charge

a MacBook; for that you’ll

need a USB Power Delivery

(USB-PD) cable.

Still, UNO’s (non–

detachable) USB-C connector

delivers up to 9.75W to your

phone, provided you use a

more powerful adapter than

the 5W one included with an

harbour a

There are two USB ports

on the back – one regular

USB and one USB-C, which

can be used to charge a phone

while inside the case and

also another device like a

smartwatch. Press the button

on the case and a 10-minute

sanitising session starts. You

can leave your phone case on.

Any physical dirt should be

removed with a cloth first –

the idea here is to kill the

germs you can’t see.

Obviously, that makes it

tricky to know whether it’s

worked or not – though a

quick online search suggests

that this kind of technology

is well established.
