NEO LEGEND GRUNGE
STREET FIGHTERS
COMPACT ARCADE GAME
If you’ve ever wondered what Kurt Cobain would look like as a muscled kung-fu master,
this retro arcade machine provides the slightly surreal answer. A tabletop version of the
Capcom classic Street Fighter, it’s emblazoned with pictures of both Kurt and his Nirvana
pal Dave Grohl in full martial arts get-up, as imagined by Brazilian artist Butcher Billy.
Sadly, the two godfathers of grunge don’t feature in the game itself (now, wouldn’t that
be cool). French company Neo Legend has launched a whole range of arcade machines
illustrated with cultural icons, from rock stars to superheroes. We await the Pearl Jam
edition of Space Invaders with bated breath.
