OPPO RENO 2
£449, oppo.com

If you’re getting a sense of déjà vu as you read
this, that might be because Oppo launched the
first Reno phone just seven months ago. With
such little time having elapsed, it’s hardly
surprising that the Chinese company hasn’t
made any radical changes for this identically
priced second edition. The biggest difference is
that the Reno’s two rear cameras have doubled
to four (including a 48MP main snapper; a
13MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid
zoom and 20x digital zoom; a 2MP depth-
sensing camera; and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle
camera). Otherwise, the AMOLED screen has
grown slightly (from 6.4 inches to 6.5), the
battery is a bit bigger (4,000mAh), and you
now get a Snapdragon 730G chipset as
opposed to a 710. A bit better all over.

T3 SAYS: A slightly better spec than its
impressive predecessor, for an identical price.

GITA
£TBC, mygita.com

Ever get the feeling you’re being followed?
Well, with Gita you most certainly will. This
robotic cargo carrier from the makers of Vespa
can be filled with 18kg of stuff stuff you’d
rather not lug around , and uses 360-degree
sensors and cameras to trail you wherever you
go – indoors and out, although not up or down
stairs. Available in a variety of colours, Gita (it’s
pronounced Jee-ta) is Italian for ‘short trip’,
though that’s something of a misnomer as this
faithful servant is able to operate continuously
for four hours off a single two-hour charge

  • more than enough to cover an afternoon
browsing the Christmas sales. It’ll even charge
your phone as it chases around after you,
meaning you’ll have plenty of juice to call a
taxi once you’re ready to go home.

T3 SAYS: This robot helper is set to revolutionise
shopping trips and weekends away.
