LENOVO SMART DISPLAY 10-INCH
Made by Lenovo but with exactly
the same Google Assistant
software as the Google Nest
Hubs, what the Smart Display

no problem at all. Chromecast
functionality is built in as well, so
you can easily beam across music,
audiobooks, podcasts, television
shows and more.
£179, lenovo.com

This is the smaller Nest Hub from
*RRJOHVRLWèVFKHDSHUDQGĆWVLQD
tighter space – and it doesn’t come
with an integrated camera either,
so you won’t feel so uncomfortable
about sticking it in the bedroom.
Even with the smaller seven-inch

touchscreen, it still excels at
showing YouTube clips, pumping
out audio, and doubling up as a
digital photo frame – and it works
as a Chromecast speaker and
display too.
£119, store.google.com

With a 5.5-inch screen, this is
one of the smallest smart displays
in the business, which makes it
perfect for sitting on your bedside
table and waking you up in the
morning – and maybe less than
perfect for binge-watching shows

on Amazon Prime Video (though
it can do that too). The audio
quality is better than you might
expect also. You can choose your
own clock face and use your own
photos on the home screen.
£79, amazon.co.uk

Something a little different here:
an Amazon tablet that turns into
an Echo Show when you plug it
into the accompanying dock. You
get the versatility of having a
device that can be both a smart
screen and a tablet when needed

  • though the device runs the
Amazon version of Android, so you
don’t get any of Google’s apps on
board. It boasts up to 10 hours of
    battery life, a 1.3GHz quad-core
processor and 1.5GB of R AM.

OUR GUIDE TO THE

BEST SMART SCREENS

These are the smart displays you want to

be bringing home with you

There aren’t quite as many smart screens available to buy as there are
smart speakers (the speakers had quite a head start, after all), but the
selection of devices with displays is growing all the time – and we’ve
chosen four of the very best for you to pick from here, depending on
what your requirements are.
What you need to decide first is whether you prefer making
friends and chatting regularly with Amazon Alexa or Google
Assistant (or perhaps which one you already know best); after that,
you can choose a screen size, which also directly relates to the price
you’ll have to pay too.
