TheSecuritiesandFuturesCommission(SFC)of HongKongis seekinga talentedgloballeaderto assume

theroleofitsChiefExecutiveOfficer(CEO).TheSFCis theindependentstatutoryauthorityoverseeing

thesecuritiesandfuturesmarketsin HongKong,oneoftheworld’sleadingfinancialcentres.Itsprimary

functionsinclude enforcement againstmarketmisconduct and fraud andthe supervisionof financial

intermediaries.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

Reportingto a Boardchairedbya non-executiveChairman,theCEOhastheoverallexecutiveresponsibility

forleadingthe SFC.Thisincludesregulatingthe fifthlargeststock exchangeintheworld,regulating

thelargestwealthmanagementindustry inAsiaex-Japan, fosteringclosecooperationwith Mainland

and international regulators, and enhancing Hong Kong’s further development as a global capital

market.Thecandidatewillrepresent theSFC in itsinteractionswith local,Mainlandandinternational

partnersincludingotherregulatorybodies,theChinaSecuritiesRegulatoryCommission(CSRC),andthe

InternationalOrganizationofSecuritiesCommissions(IOSCO).

REQUIREMENTSANDQUALIFICATIONS

The candidate shouldhave a vision for and be dedicatedto thefuture of Hong Kong as a premier

internationalfinancialcentrewithworldclassregulatorystandards.Thecandidateshouldbea strategic

leader with insight and resilience, able to manage multiple public and private sector stakeholders,

and should demonstrate the high levels of technical competence and personal credibility necessary

to formulateandimplement effective regulatorydecisionsandinitiatives ina dynamic market. Heor

sheshould have significantleadership experience at a regulatory authority, an exchange, a financial

intermediary,anaccountingorlawfirmand/ora publicorganization.
