The son of a Murano
glassmaker Luca’s connection
to his hometown’s celebrated craft
can be seen in much of his work.
His polycarbonate Plass lights for

Stockholm Function + Fashion
The designer set up a second studio in his wife’s native
Sweden in 2011. His Stanley two-seater sofa unites
a distinctly Italian attention to tailoring with clean

In 2013 Luca and Japanese studio Nendo
made a splash in Milan with a joint exhibit that
married Italian flair with Japanese minimalism.
His tray-style tables for Cassina reveal the
designer’s fascination with simple forms.

Luca worked with retailer Mjölk to design
the Murano-glass Zen vase as well as the
Uki candleholder which features Toronto-
