BEST INTERNAL SSD
ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO
$1,799 EDITORS’ CHOICE Llllh
Fast, competitively priced, and durable for loads of data writes: These are the things you look
for when you buy a new PCI Express NVMe SSD. No drive we tested in 2019 better exemplifies
that perfect marriage of features and price than the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro. The drive
surprised all of us with its ultra-fast data transfer speeds that trumped pricier drives from
competing manufacturers, all while retaining a high write-durability rating and backed by a
software suite that has all the tools you need.

BEST EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE OR SSD
LACIE MOBILE DRIVE
$94.95 (AS TESTED) EDITORS’ CHOICE Llllm
External hard drives have long been commodity items, but now and then, a design breaks out
from the pack. A metal-skinned gem of a platter hard drive, the LaCie Mobile Drive is one of
those designs. The body looks great, with slant-cut edges in its aluminum housing, and the
drive performs on point. (It comes in capacities from 1TB to 5TB; we tested the 2TB version.)
It’s geared to macOS users (the silver shell will complement any modern MacBook well), but it
will please anyone with an eye for style in their gadgets.

BEST MOUSE
LOGITECH MX MASTER 3
$99.99(AS TESTED) EDITORS’ CHOICE Llllh
Logitech’s simple formula for this winning clicker? Take one of the best mice around and make
it better. The MX Master 3 comes from good genes (the MX Master line is a long-running
triumph of mouse design), and while it may seem a little expensive for a productivity mouse,
your hands and your newfound productivity will thank you. Beyond Logitech’s tweaks to
improve comfort and efficiency, you can make more tweaks via software to benefit your
specific workflow. Power users won’t mind the price once they’ve become used to zipping
through tasks with the help of this nearly perfect mouse.

BEST KEYBOARD
KINESIS FREESTYLE EDGE RGB SPLIT MECHANICAL
GAMING KEYBOARD
$219 (AS TESTED) EDITORS’ CHOICE Llllm
A niche keyboard—an ergonomic model for gamers, replete with nifty lighting—wins this
category in 2019 for sheer innovation. Kinesis’ hardcore gaming keyboard isn’t for everyone,
but we have to praise the execution. The split design takes a little getting used to, but it’s
supremely comfortable. (A plush wrist rest helps.) You can choose among three flavors of
Cherry MX mechanical key switches, and the keys are individually backlit with full RGB
customization. Yes, this is a luxury buy, but if you’re a serious gamer or a current or aspiring
esports competitor, the features and comfort could pay for themselves quickly.
